#1 About Me

Okay, so here goes...

This blog will simply serve as my way of dealing with motherhood. Yes, I know women have done it since the beginning of time. What can I possibly say that hasn't been said? Well, I don't really care if it's been said. All I know is that the women in my life lied to me. Set me up, even.

When I was dating my husband, it was, "When are you getting married?" We were engaged for three months and married, then it was, "Are you pregnant? Why so fast?" Then, every year for the last four years we were questioned about children. Children were wished upon us. People would say, "They are blessings; be fruitful."

I must say I was naive about the whole of it: pregnancy, labor, delivery and now the most permanent, motherhood. I did not spend much, if any time at all around pregnant women nor did any of my friends have babies. Not a baby that I spent any real length of time around. Furthermore, I had only changed one diaper in my life. Shameful, I guess, but don't judge me.

All that to say, this blog is just therapy. My unique perspective. You may agree, disagree, laugh, or even judge me. At this point, I don't care.

It's the last night of 2015 and my goal is to just post once a week for 12 months. That's only 52 posts, yeah right, who am I kidding - I have a "little one" now, so I'll do my best. Just being honest. They say something new happens with babies weekly, so I'll share.

Cheers to 2016!
